President Ram Nath Kovind gave away the National Corporate Social Responsibility Awards.
The awards which has been instituted by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs recognizes corporate initiatives which help in achieving inclusive growth and sustainable development.
19 companies were selected out of 528 entries.
The CSR Awards are the highest Government recognition in the domain of Coroprate Social Responsibility.
At the award function President Kovind expressed pleasure over India’s huge jump in Ease of Doing Business Rankings.
The President also proded corporates to motivate their employees to be more active for the service of the society.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman who was also present at the function appreciated the role of the corporate sector for social development.
