‘1.5 lakh health centers to be operationalised by 2022’

New Delhi, 16th October, 2018: As part of Aushman Bharat, 1.5 lakh health and wellness centers would be operationalized by 2022 making available primary care services backed by robust IT systems, said Ms. Anupriya S. Patel, Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare at an ASSOCHAM event held in New Delhi. The government has launched its ambitious Ayushman Bharat with its two components of Health and Wellness centers for comprehensive Primary health care with a continuum of care approach and financial protection for secondary and territory care hospitalisation.
