Following global outrage over the Pulwama terror attack, the United Nations Security Council(UNSC) too has expressed solidarity with India. It has condemned the attack in the strongest terms describing it as ‘heinous and cowardly’.
On February 14 a suicide bomber had rammed his truck laden with explosives into a truck carrying over 40 CRPF jawans in the Pulwama district of Jammu & Kashmir killing all of them.

The UNSC has appealed to the international community to co-operate actively with India in bringing the perpetrators, financiers, and organizers of terrorism to justice.
Besides the condemnation the UNSC in its statement also mentioned Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed. The Maulana Masood Azhar led terrorist outfit had claimed responsibility for the attack.
