Ulama-i-Hind (JuH), one of the premier body of Ulema came out in support of the the revocation of the controversial and temporary Article 370 from the state of Jammu & Kashmir and reiterated the fact that J&K is an integral part of India.
In the resolution passed in its annual general meeting the JuH wholeheartedly supported unification of India as it condemned Pakistan stating that “The inimical forces and the neighboring country are bent upon destroying Kashmir”.
The resolution also stated in no uncertain terms that the welfare of Kashmiris lies in their integration with rest of India and called on the government to ensure peace in the valley while making sure that the lives, property and human rights of the people are protected. The Ulema body stressed on the importance of winning the hearts of the Kashmiri people.
