Regions of Northern India continued to reel under severe cold wave as the national capital recorded the season’s lowest temperature today. The minimum temperature in Delhi was 2.4 degree Celsius.
Rail and train services were adversely hit as dense fog reduced visibility at Delhi Airport to Zero today morning.
Lodhi Road registered the lowest temperature at 1.7 degrees Celsius followed by Ayanagar where the mercury dropped to 1.9 degree celcius and Palam remained at 3.1 degrees Celsius.
India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts similar weather conditions would continue on Sunday. According to the IMD severe cold day conditions would prevail in many pockets of various north Indian states like Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, northern Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh in the coming 2 days.
Dense fog is also likely over these places during next 3 days and over Jharkhand, north Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Odisha.
