Mandu Festival Commences

Mandu festival in Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh

The 5 day Mandu festival kicked off at the picturesque tourist destination of Mandu in Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh. The festival which will come to a close in January 1, 2020 would be a combination of cultural and adventure sports activities. Having a tagline of ‘khojne mein khojo’ the Mandu festival would showcase a variety of folk and classical arts both in the form of song and of dance. Mandu festival would also include workshops, nature trails, food, cycling tours, walking tours for the visitors. Mandu also known as Mandav Garh is a ruined medieval city which is acclaimed for its architecture created chiefly during the Malwa period. Apart from captivating monuments such as Jahaz Mahal, Mandu fort, Hindola Mahal it has captivating natural beauty in the form of lakes and waterfalls. Mandu is situated approximately 95 km from the city of Indore.
