Air quality in Delhi and surrounding areas is still in the “very poor” category. Further deterioration is expected over the next two days as air quality is likely to enter the ‘severe’ category with wind speed remaining low and farm fires continuing unabated in the neighboring states. Delhi’s air quality index(AQI) was 359 at 9:45 am. Noida and Greater Noida also registered AQI in the “very poor” category. Weather experts are expecting a fresh western disturbance to increase wind speed which will help bring down pollution levels.
